She has taught various core-courses for the Bachelor Degree of Chemical Engineering including Transport Processes, Process Instrumentation, Chemical Reaction Engineering, Statics and Numerical Methods for Chemical Engineering.

Her current research interests mainly focus on solid state fermentation for the production of plant promoting metabolites using specific soil microbe strains. She also works on the formulation of novel soil microbial inoculant using naturally occuring indigenous microbes. The inoculants are mainly used for composting and organic waste bioremediation purposes.

She co-leads the sub-project of “Sustainable Solid Waste Management” where Iskandar Malaysia was chosen as a model region.

She runs an international Summer Course on “Sustainable Technologies for Agro-waste Management ” involving students from Prince of Songkla University, Thailand in 2011 & 2012; and students from the University of Technology Sydney, Australia and Dr. NGP College of Arts and Science, India in 2013.

She currently also serves as a Regional Manager (Northern Europe) in UTM International since 2008. She is the key coordinator for UTM’s Erasmus IDEAS project as funded by the EU Commission (2011-2014) that mobilizes researchers and students from UTM and partner universities in the Europe.
